  1. Every student registrant MUST show his/her student's identification card at the registration desk. Moreover, every student has to attach (email to the subject: student ID), or fax to +66-2501-3505(-20) (Ext. 2001) a proof of your student status (a copy of your valid student ID or a certifying letter from your department).

Additional registration fee for an author having more than one accepted conference paper
Student conference/workshop registration does not include the students who have a paper accepted. Every conference/workshop paper requires at least one regular conference/workshop registration.

Tutorials are free for conference registrants, but tutorial notes are not free.


  • At least one author of every accepted paper must register before Jan. 15. For more details, please refer the instruction email sent to authors. If you have not received the email, please contact by December 21.
  • For the authors, the filled registration form and the filled copyright form need to be submitted together with the camera-ready manuscript before Jan. 15. The PDF file and latex (or Word) source of the camera-ready manuscript. The template can be downloaded from the following URL:
  • A workshop will be cancelled if the number of registrants is less than 15. In that case, the registration fee will be reimbursed to the registrant in cash at the registration desk.
  • Neither Regular conference registration fee nor Student conference registration fee covers tutorial notes.
  • Every student registrant must show his/her student's identification card at the registration desk.
  • Every conference/workshop paper requires at least one regular conference/workshop registration. In the case that one author has multiple conference/workshop papers, the author has to pay USD 200 for an extra conference paper and USD 120 for an extra workshop paper, as well as one regular registration is required.
  • Registration for conference papers MUST be done by Jan. 15. Registration for workshop papers should be done by Feb. 16. If the registration for a conference/workshop paper has not been done by its deadline, the acceptance of the paper will be cancelled.

The advance registration MUST be done online via Online Registration. Anyway, we also attach the detail of registration as the Registration Form below. This is for your REFERENCE.

For an AUTHOR, please fill in the copyright transfer form, SIGN on it, SCAN it and ATTACH the scanned file online when you submit the CAMERA-READY manuscript.

  • New registrants on/after April 11 will not be processed and they will be advised to register on site.
  • If you make a Regular conference registration together with workshop(s), choose "Regular conference registration (discount rate for workshop attendee) and workshop(s) you wish to attend so that you will get USD 50 reduction from the total due.
  • Regular conference registration and Student conference registration include the access to tutorials but NOT tutorial notes. If you need the tutorial notes, please choose the notes on the form.


In the event of canceling registrations, written notice should be sent to PAKDD 2009 Desk by e-mail to or fax to +66-2501-3505(-20) (Ext. 2001).
If cancellation notice is received by 23:59 (PST) on March 27, 2009 (Friday), registration fee will be refunded after deducting bank charge and commission. Author registrations for conference/workshop papers can NOT be cancelled. After March 27, 2009 (Friday) (PST), the registration fee is not refundable in any case.
