The Seventh Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (PAKDD-03) solicits companion workshops to get together researchers and practitioners from focused areas. Please submit workshop proposals by e-mail directly to PAKDD-03 Workshop Chairs by October 25, 2002.

A workshop proposal should include the following information.

u      The title of the workshop

u      The objective

u      Abstract

u      Who to attend

u      How many attendees are expected (minimum 15 attendees)

u      Names of the organization committee members, and their bio and experience in organizing the workshops and conferences

u      Program committee member candidates (if different to the organization committee)

u      Length of the workshop. (Full day/half day)

 

The same paper format and page limit as those used for PAKDD-03 should be applied to the workshop papers.  A full day workshop must have twelve presentations. Full day workshops are recommended.

 

We will notify the acceptance or rejection of the workshop proposals by November 1, 2002. You should organize your own committees for the workshops, collect papers, and prepare a camera-ready format of the workshop proceedings by February 15, 2003. The workshops will be held on April 30, 2003. It is also recommended to build your own website to facilitate the workshop preparation, and link it to the PAKDD-03 main website.

Important Dates

u      October 25, 2002: Due-date of the workshop proposal submission

u      November 1, 2002: Acceptance or rejection notification of the proposals

u      February 15, 2003: Delivery of the camera ready formats of the workshop proceedings

u      April 30, 2003: Workshops will be held at the PAKDD-03 venue
